Behind The Scenes of Preparing for Half Marathon - 90 days Challenge
What's up people!
I would like to call this Behind The Scenes of the Half Marathon challenge that I and my friend recently did.
In this post I will share with you a video and some of the pictures that were taken during the preparation for the race.

" I and my friend agreed to a 90-day challenge. We had to run 21km race and he has a 30-minute advantage. Meaning, if he finishes in 2hours, then for me to win I have to complete the race in 1hour 30 minutes.
And just to raise the stakes a little bit, the loser pays the winner 70 euros.
Turned out it wasn't money that was motivating us... "
3 brave souls right after completing unofficial half marathon race (21km)
Me, Jason and Edmunds.
Jason was my rival, hell of a competitor! I was 8 minutes short. All of us started at the same time which meant I had to finish before him and hope that he will finish 30 minutes after. Well... he finished 22 minutes later. It was very, very close!
And Edmunds agreed to participate on a 3 day notice. What a savage! He was preparing for a marathon race, so that was like a nice tune up run.
Sometimes, mother nature was kind enough to sprinkle a little bit of sun my way.
Man-made hills for bikers and hikers. And that's another reason why I love training outside. You can bust your ass off AND enjoy a sunset on the top of the hill.
But it's not always sunsets and pyramids. Most of the times its 9 pm, dark stadium without projectors, snow, -10 degrees Celsius, middle of February.
The Infamous race track. This is a path around the lake. We had to run roughly 2.3 laps and the views kept constantly changing. Summer cottages. Swamp looking fields. And when you think it's getting too hot because there is nothing but a swamp, the terrain changes and you enter into a semi-transparent forest. It cools you just enough to keep on running and stop complaining... at least for a while.
Hope You Enjoyed!
Quick question. What are the cool places you train at?
Quick question #2. Would you like to see a 30 day challenge where I attack one habit per day and by the end of the challenge we will see how working on 30 different habits will affects health and lifestyle?
