That decision to either turn back or not, can be the difference between life and death. I agree. And you know what? It is the same in all aspects of life.
Sometimes we give so much, that when along the way we realize we should probably not continue, we persist, adamant we have already come too far to return!
You say it all too well. It is wise to have a fore thought turn around point, just in case. Having a prior set mind should make that choice easier to make, i think. This is a very revealing write. Never turn back. Put one foot in front of the other which is great advice to a degree but is more about procrastination and following through on your goals I think.
When it comes to real life, common sense is King and you should always be aware of all factors that can turn things South quickly.
As you say, it is far more important to have a plan for another day rather than today potentially being your last day!
