DTube - Cliff Jumping the Grand Canyon?
Cliff jumping the Grand Canyon! No not the Grand Canyon in Arizona. It's what the local Thai people call an old quarry outside of Chiang Mai that's filled with water and is now used for recreation.

This video is over a year old so some of the information may be outdated. I know the water park is complete now and is open to the public but is in a different section of the quarry.
To get here it is only about 20 minutes from the city center by motorbike. It is to the south of town.

I definitely recommend this as one of the adventures you can have around Chiang Mai.
Where is the best place you have gone cliff jumping?

Want to have your post on the map too?
wow .. it look amazing.. I am planning to go chiang mai this year during lantern festival time, so I will put this on my list.they even make a sign " Grand Canyon ".. haha but I doubt I will jump, I am more of a sit down and watch people jump kind of person .
Can you swim? If yes, you could just swim out to the bamboo rafts and lounge out.
awesome tips. my swimming has improved so I am hoping to do it without life jacket .. hehe
You probably shouldn't jump from the high cliffs if you can't swim very well. There are smaller ones you could try, though. There are life jackets to rent too.
Nice one! @daveonarrival I used to live a 5 minute drive from this place in Chiang Mai we used to visit often with our dog & friends, loads o fun! Just seen your dtube vlog on Koh Phangan as well....I used to live there too!! We have a lot in common! Be happy & smile often my friend ;)
Well, that's cool. Were you a digital nomad?
In Chiang Mai we were both online teachers, but in Koh Phangan we had a small beach bar in Ban Tai :)
Haha someone just asked me to go here today!
Do it. It's probably changed since I was there.
