Who loves Nerf Guns and being themselves?
As promised a little sneaky peak into the Mind Fudge photo shoot yesterday. I clearly had ZERO FUN.
We did some fun social media content followed by drinking wine and re living our favourite moments on set. Not a bad way to spend a day with amazing women
This show will soon air on CBC gem and you’ll get to see me basically being myself. In fact they just called the character Katie and we’re very happy to let me just be myself.
I often tell actors fresh out of school to just “be yourself” which is easier said than done when your work/money/art all depend on a 5 minute audition. But truly being yourself always leads you to the right working relationships and all real relationships!
The more I work, the more I audition, fail, succeed and everything in between the more I am constantly reminded that authenticity wins. Even if you don’t win the role, you get closer to your authentic self and ultimately do better work. Plus- have wayyyy more fun and feel wayyyy less stress.
Here’s to letting our freak flags fly and being yourself 🙌🏼
