今日は国立国際美術館にてクリスチャン・ボルタンスキー[Lifetime]を鑑賞しました。

展示室に入ると薄暗い中に写真を並べた作品や映像の作品など、そのどれもが何となく死の匂いがしていて、美術館全体がひとつの、死や不在、生きた証、墓標、あの世などを表したようなひとつのインスタレーションになっていました。

しかし使われている素材を細かく見ていくと、写真や電球、黒い服や薄い布、風鈴など様々な素材を注意深く選んでおり、優れた現代美術作家だなということがわかりました。

クリスチャン・ボルタンスキー[Lifetime]は5/6まで国立国際美術館で開催中。その後、国立新美術館、長崎県美術館へ巡回します。
