My Actifit Report Card: February 23 2019
It was pouring buckets and Scott realized the waterfalls would be flowing so there was a daytrip, a roadtrip, many hours in a car in the near future. Within an hour of the storm rolling overhead, we were all three in the Tank heading towards Natural Falls State Park.
Here we took so many photos of the tallest waterfall in Oklahoma and took so many amazing trails to find a small pond of emerald colored water with turtles all over the floating logs. GG2 squealed in delight with each discovery. It was a wonderful to see her so excited.
We finished the trail and took a few more photos, then headed to lunch in Silom Springs. I don't do pizza often, but there was a Jim's Razorback Pizza nearby so it was the destination. Once we finished, we headed out to find another waterfall. This time it was an Arkansas waterfall called Tanyard Creek in Belle Vista.
We hiked about a half mile to the falls and the further up to the dam. I think I was more excited about that than the rest! There were fosss in the limestone and a lake at the top! I was giddy and so thrilled. Of course, I am sure it had nothing to do with fossils.
Lots more photos and hiking were done and then we headed home by way of a state park in Missouri. Big Spring Creek State Park. However this park is a hiking park and we were hiked out. We drove all the public roads we could within the park, but never found a sign or office. So you will have to take our word for it.
It was a wonderful spur of the moment trips and a first with one of the Grand George's. We hope to be able to share the travel bugs with another Grand George soon.

Nice that the Grand Georges get involved and want to go on these trips, they become so much more interesting and meaningful. Nice photos!
Thanks. We've just started including them because we weren't sure how they would handle hours in the car. GG was in the car 9 hurs Saturday and she did well but not sure if akacal would handle it well.

Nice! I love waterfalls! After a few years of drought we're finally getting some good rains here in California this winter so I've been trying to get out and check out some of our waterfalls.
Oh, so jealous! I can't wait to visit California again.
