Let’s pick up where we left off...

I would like to take another opportunity to emphasize the importance of “Spirit”, the previously mentioned health category. Spiritual health is what determines the energetic top of all the other compounding health factors. What I’m saying is that your mental and physical health will be limited by your spiritual condition.

I think this is important enough to note as having a solid reason WHY must be laid before the MIND can go to work figuring out HOW!

As an example I will give you a challenge I often give to my personal training clients while we are climbing stairs.

Picture the last time you climbed stairs. Was it a difficult endeavour? Did you eagerly go out of your way to climb those stairs? On a scale of one to ten how easy was it to climb to the top, come back down and do it again?

This is your baseline.

Now! Picture this... The building you are in is on fire🔥🏢🔥. Not only that but your grandmother 👵 is on the very top floor... and, of course, the elevator is not in commission and the building is 13 stories high (Yeah! I know... that’s an unlucky number 🍀).

How did this change in circumstances change your attitude towards the stairs you were just climbing? Do you feel the shift?

Suddenly adrenaline energy is coursing through your body. Your spirit is fully engaged. You are transported into the here and now as you literally fly up the same stairs you earlier were dragging yourself up! What has possessed you? Where did this transformation in performance come from? Up the stairs you go! Two at a time!

As this scenario shows, this is the difference behind setting clear objectives that truly engage your spirit and ones that do not!

The difference is life changing wouldn’t you say?!

Your right about the power behind focusing on the SPIRIT @thereikiforest! It's uncommon to talk about this aspect of health so I hope that people can appreciate what I'm trying to bring to the forefront in my posts. Mostly people want to talk about the leaves and fruit on the tree (the catabolic/tearing down aspects of health such as intense workouts, etc.) but they over look the roots that are required to support that sort of action! I'm glad that your someone who understands this. :D
