My Actifit Activity Log [11.10.2018] S.M.A.R.[T]. GOALS

It seems, with tomorrow being the last day of the #AutomaticWin Step Challenge, to be the perfect time to write about the last letter of our S.M.A.R.[T]. GOAL series! Why is that?! Because the [T] stands for, "Timed" that's why!

If your goals don't have a timed aspect then there isn't really any sense of urgency in their ultimate atainment now is there... It's the aspect of time that grounds a goal in reality. If you set a goal, "to buy a gym membership and loose weight... whenever you felt like it..." YOU WOULD NEVER ACTUALLY SHEAD THAT EXCESS​ WEIGHT... EVER! All that's going to happen is NOTHING MUCH EVER NEVER.

Here's another thing people setting off on the pursuit of their goals don't often consider. When you set a goal you unlock your hidden potential. By setting a goal with a time factor you get to cash in on what's called THE 80-20 RULE.

Maybe you have heard of it?

When you set a deadline for yourself you will find that 80% of your results will show up in the last 20% of the time you set... So if you end up NOT setting a deadline for your goals, in true S.M.A.R.[T]. GOAL fasion, you end up on missing out on the benifits inhearently lying dorment. Cash in on THE 80-20 RULE by setting a deadline for yourself. Hold yourself to it. Make REAL results REAL!

Imagine with me an olympian... who decides NOT to set a deadline for their training. Do you think when 4 years ticks around that they will be ready to bring the best possible version of themselves to the Olymipic Games?

There is always a price for success. Results never come by sitting on the couch and eating heaps of grandmas cookies. Nope! Not gonna happen... No matter how you look at it the results you desire are waiting for you... But they are waiting expecatnely with work cloths on!

In the glow of their promise for a better future there is also the blood, mud, sweat, and tears! Time ticks on because us humans are like arrows. We are ment to move forward through time. We are ment to hit the targets we aim at!

So! You CAN do it. Yeah. YOU!

Imagine with me... The day when you finnally arrive. You attain the health and fitness goals you envisioned and reached for. I've been there many times in my lifetime. I call these moments fitness anchor points. And here's the thing... It's your life... but that doesn't mean you want to take a lifetime to reach your goals. Your never going to regret going for it! In fact, if your like me, your going to wonder why you didn't go after it sooner! Imagine what your best possible self would look and feel like? Don't you want to experience that in your lifetime? Time is going to tick away anyway...Right? Why not strike off in the direction YOU set for yourself? It's your choice and no one else's. So! What do you think? Are you going to set your S.M.A.R.T. GOALS and make it happen?

Great to learn about the T in the SMART goal setting. Looking back at the other posts, this has been invaluable advice in setting goals and getting things done. Thank you for sharing and thank you too for the automaticwin challenge as we get into the final day.
I sure hit my personal best this time. Who would ever think I would make 50,000 steps in one day.
