Flying lanterns above the Acra fortress
Tonight, with friends, we went to the Acra fortress to let flying lanterns over the sea.
The city Burgas was covered in dense fog, but there was neither fog nor wind above the fortress, and the lanterns flew lightly.
Early Byzantine Akra Fortress is located on the peninsula of St. Nicholas near the town of Chernomorets. It is also known by the name Akin. It dates from the 6th century, when a massive fortress wall, guarding an area of 16 decares, was built in the narrowest part of the cape.
