My Actifit Report Card and ulog: Home & Garden Fair
The last two days I (Sam) was couped up indoors revising as I have an exam that I have been dreading on Sunday (tomorrow)... Finance! Yet, I didn't want to let my whole Saturday be about revision, so in the afternoon after lunch, my brother and I visited the Home & Garden fair at IMPACT (a convention hall). It was packed with people as there were other fairs on like Food Festival, Robinson (supermarket chain) up to 80% off fair, Travel Thailand fair (offering discounted tour packages), Health and Organic products fair and an Engineering fair to do with sustainability and smart businesses. We visited them all. Yet, the majority of our time was spent at the Home & Garden fair. The fair comes back to IMPACT twice a year and we love it as it gives us inspiration for designing our future homes (if we ever get one). This year like last year, the focus was more on eco-living, creating and using sustainable or recycled materials. We walked and walked, checking out the different stalls with their various products and ideas. The four hours of constant walking produced over 17,000 steps. Yet, it didn't feel like an effort at all. It was great to get in that many steps! Here are some pictures from the fair today:
Bamboo can be used in multiple ways and is sustainable. Here it is used as a open-air plant stand.

Finally, we saw lots of stalls demonstrating how old shipping containers can be upcycled and used for another purpose. In this case, a studio flat with a rooftop living room.
