8-21-19: change of pace
I wasn't too sure about today. I know it was my day off, but the last thing I want is to injure myself running. Yet I just felt the need to do it this afternoon.
I sat around for a bit reading up on ways to build endurance for running. While i definitely want to do that, I wanted to hit my sub 8 minute goal first.
And speak of the devil. I went out applying some of the techniques I read on. Focusing on my movement, my pace and breathing to start. When I had finished my mile, I felt like I could keep going for a bit longer. Since I hit my goal, I had stopped.
Now my plan is to just focus on building up distance over time. I'm not sure how much distance I want to add per week, but I'm thinking about 0.1 miles or some more per week to make it more challenging over time.
