Road to Steemfest : Business or Pleasure? September 26 2019 + Actifit Report Card

Keeping yourself active and getting fit for Steemfest is not easy when you realise that you have a pair of worn out shoes that had followed you for 4 years, Europe and back.

And that's when I knew I need to get a pair of new one before I fly to Bangkok.

That being said, @anomadsoul has posted his new topic to write for the Road to Steemfest, and this time it is about whether we are going there for Business or for Pleasure?

In my terms it can be a 50-50 or even 60 business, 40 pleasure; because as much as I know I need to get a breather from all the hussle and bussle at home and work, getting to see the upcoming technologies that dapps are working on is equally important.

To me, steem blockchain is more than just the content creation and earning (which was what attracted many people), where the economics can be way much bigger and better if applied with the right intention, outside the virtual community sphere.

Building community, getting to know plankton, minnows, dolphins, okras and whales alike are important not because of their status but how they view steem.

Those who truly take the time and fly over and even sponsored the Steemfest I am sure have bigger fish to catch than just rip off the reward pool, and I am interested to hear their opinion how they will move forward.

Because that I believe, is still largely missing in the ecosystem.

@partiko itself from last year has made a tremendous leap to make the Partiko mobile app that has greatly getting steem blockchain users to keep returning to use their app with ease, and I am one of them.

And even with that, there's still so much potential, and I hope there are even more dapps that could work on the economy side of things.

I would love to do that, but my programming skills and time is currently greatly limited, so I wish to see who else is catching this idea too.

Other than that of course I would love to meet the rest of the Steemians who I have been communicating from comments to discord to get to know them more on both personal / vision level.

I know @travelfeed team and @ddaily team would be one of the groups I am interested in looking out, even if @tatsteem is going that's just so much more to learn from them personally.

I haven't checked the full list of attendees yet so I can't really pin point who else I want to meet. If I can, I'd love to meet EVERYONE! 😂

Coming back to getting a pair of shoes for Steemfest....

I know there's going to be A LOT OF WALKING, and since the pair I wear to gym is falling apart and the grip is lesser, it is dangerous to wear around.

And I found this really NEAT shoe shop - XES - that just so happened to be on sales and it ends on Friday itself, I took the "buy 1 free 1" opportunity to also get a pair of formal heels (where mine is totally worn out and beyond repair after 5 years)

This was how bad it became until I decided to get a new pair...

And this is what I got with the buy 1 free 1 discount, which round out less than USD 40 for 2 nice and comfortable pairs!

usually at the inflation rate... It will cost a lot more to get 2 separate shoes that can last you 5 years average... I do home these 2 pairs will!

How neat is that??

Unfortunately the sales ends in less than 14 hours time. For those who are in Malaysia can quickly grab a good pair that can last you years. So far, this brand has lifted up its name the last 5 years.
