My Actifit Report Card: September 24 2019

Today I spent the morning on the computer doing different stuff like trading, organizing and learning things. The weather was really nice in the afternoon so I went out and did a lot of yard work.

I mowed the grass and picked a bunch of weeds and generally tidied up.

A while back I spent some crypto on a new battery powered lawn mower and boy I've been enjoying that. It's super easy to do the entire yard on one charge with and there are no cords or fuel to mess around with.

Long ago I used to have an electric lawn mower that used a cord but I didn't like it much. I traded it for a push mower. I used that for years but I'm getting a bit old or lazy or something, lol.

My new electric battery powered mower is really quiet unless it is cutting high wet grass. (Like today in the back yard.) When it gets loaded down it goes faster and gets a bit noisier. (I think it is still quieter than most other gas powered mowers though.)

In the evening my son and I played disc golf and I won with a two over par score. It was just a bit windy and that made the putts harder. I overestimated the wind on a few drives and ended up not placing the disc as close to the basket as I would have liked. Still, it was a lot of fun and the weather felt good.

The apples in my yard are ripe now. We have been eating them almost every day. They are fresh and fragrant.

The green/yellow apples are really close to the road so if they fall off the tree sometimes they roll down the hill for a long way. I've been checking each morning and they are often pretty far from the tree. Today I hand picked ten really nice ones off the tree and I will be picking more soon.

The reddish apple tree I don't worry too much about because the apples stay close to it when they fall. You do need to get them before the slugs find them or they will have some new holes in them. I'd like to keep some of them on the tree a bit longer because the cooler weather will sweeten them up a bit.
