My Actifit Report Card: May 22 2019
I rode the ebike down to the new big disc golf course in town and played about nine of the eighteen baskets. I was getting hungry for lunch and I had done a lot of mowing and yard work before I went down to play.
Here's a picture of the river that you can see when walking on the course. The path goes under the bridge and some of the baskets are on one side of the bridge and the rest are on the other.
Here's a view of one of my throws which nearly landed in some mushrooms. This is kind of a hard course and a bad throw here can easily get lost in the hedges. Unfortunalty I was not able to sink the putt from this distance although this is usually in my range.
After walking Dog-oh - he insisted that we do that, my son and I played another round of nine baskets at the short course in town. We met up with a friend who showed up playing this eveing too.
There was a very nice sunset today and the weather was perfect for tee shirts and shorts this evening.
I am liking the new course but many people have lost discs there. It is a tough course with some long baskets.
One of the baskets I don't like playing so much because there are some picnic tables and a playground in the range of my distance drives. I guess when people are around and you are not confident in your throw, you could throw a shorter drive and clean up with a well placed midrange shot so as not to have as much of a chance of hitting someone.

I know for a fact if people are around I would choke on my throw. No question that comes into play.

I'm getting better at throwing when people and dangerous disc swallowing trees and hedges are around. Still though there are a few places where I get nervous. I think as I've gotten more experience throwing under a variety of conditions it has helped. Your body kind of gets this memory for how it feels best to throw.
The river is surely big enough to drown someone. It seems playing the disc golf is one major source of fun to you or should I say riding the ebike
I think both the ebike and disc golf have been a big source of fun for me recently. Tracking and posting the results has been fun too.

It looks like a lovely place to spend some time with out without a game but you do have to keep your heads up:) Do you call fore as you do in regular golf?

Most of the time it is not really a problem and I've managed to either wait for people to clear the area or throw well enough so that there was no chance of hitting them. There is a totally blind throw on the new course that I've called fore on. Somehow yelling "fore" and then landing the disc on top of someone's lunch seems like bad form though, lol. (I think they should reorient one of the baskets a bit and perhaps shorten the drive so long shots are not potentially drifting over towards popular parts of the park.)

A lot of these courses are close by but not in town. There are two in town now, a nine basket short course and a eighteen basket long course. I like both of them.
In general they don't get too crowded yet sometimes people like to be right in the area where discs are thrown. Usually it is not an issue.
Excellent review @lightsplasher, you had a great game, even despite the complexity of the course and made beautiful photos, especially liked the sunset!
