You must rest it to get better. Take care of yourself in the short run so you heal for the long run. (I suppose that’s a pun!) One of the things you can do is run in place without moving your legs. I know it sounds dumb, but it works. Sometimes my feet are so tired because I stand up all day at work. So I stand in place for a while (eg watching a show) and move my arms like I’m running. You still move, and you still get “steps” but you won’t further injure your foot.
