A patient with a bunch of hidden diseases
Today a Sri Lankan patient came for follow up. Yesterday came with lower back pain following fall. From physical examination, there was no sign of any fracture so that I didn't request for any X-ray. On enquiry, she admitted of having bronchial asthma. So that I couldn't give any strong NSAID pain killers. Her sponsor didn't know about the asthma problem.
Today came back again. The pain didn't subside. They wanted to do X-ray. But nothing was found out from the X-ray. On further enquiries, she told us about not passing urine for last 2 days! And no menstrual periods for last 10 years.
We all were surprised.
