Power Outage, Curacao (My Actifit Report Card: November 4 2019)
Today was a weird day to be honest.
Aqualectra (the energy company on Curacao) had a major problem and the whole/majority of the island was without electricity. I didn't have any power at my office and home for more that 12 hours.
It was weird...
But what it made me realize is how much I use electricity and internet daily. I'm not afraid to call it a semi-addiction.
I actually had to reset and think about what I could do, not only in regards to work but in general.
I ended up going to the grocery store, making myself a healthy meal and reading a book.
The afternoon was easy.
No power at night was a different challenge, I mean reading to candle light was strenuous and I didn't want to use my laptop cause you never know when you actually need power...
I ended up picking up my sister (and her dog) and going for a night drive. Seeing the city without power was a little surreal. The cruise ship at the harbor was the main source of light.
All is well that ends well tho and I got power back around 12.30 am.
