Beautiful day in the Swiss Alps
Today, we've spent all morning and afternoon in the Swiss Alps.
I love the mountains and so does my husband so we go there as often as possible.
After less than 2 hours drive we reached the place where we took the cable car to Chaserrugg. From there we were planning to take a hiking trail which is around 10 km long.
There is a mountain train first. The ride takes around 10 minutes.
Then we changed to the cable car. The views were fascinating and we were excited to see what is waiting for us.
The trail started as an easy path but soon it changed to more difficult path with large rocks. We had to be careful to keep our balance and don't twist an ankle.
After a couple of kilometres we got some amazing views of Wallensee. We sat down in the grass and prepared our picnic. The food in nature tastes much better.
It doesn't look like it but about 1 meter in front of us was a huge cliff. This was one of the most exciting dining experiences ever 😊
After a while we got further away from the lake but we got to see more mountains.
The last part of the trail before hiking up the hill was on a large plateau. And then we had to walk up and up and up. We were short of breath but made it at the end.
Once we reached the top we went directly to the cable car station as we spent 6 hours on the mountain and we had another appointment in the evening.
Now, we are sitting on our sofa, watching some TV programs and hoping that our muscles won't be sore tomorrow.
I hope you've had an active day too!
