one foot in front of the other: March 18 2019

I think that title came from a Disney movie. And even had a song associated with it.

I went to a store today and heard a baby screaming in the restroom. The baby sounded like it was maybe 2-3 weeks old, with that kind of high pitched fit that is associated with getting a diaper changed.

Isn't it odd to think about how furious they are...

It's just a diaper change but they are screaming their lungs out as if they're being tortured.

It makes you stop for a minute. If you could tell them .. hey, little one, you're fed, cuddled, warmed, protected, burped, kissed, loved.... And someone even wipes your little backside when you need it.

You're living like a king/queen... The screaming is really uncalled for. Wait until mid-terms, student loans, job-hunting, living paycheck to paycheck, audits, blown head gaskets....then come back to me and tell me how bad the diaper change was.

Hm. Life has some really awful twists and turns at times, doesn't it? Makes you want to get up on the changing table with that kid and scream your lungs out too, sometimes.
