Day 237 | Fruits & Veggies Monday
It feels like forever since I joined the #fruitsandveggiesmonday contest hosted by @lenasveganliving. Mostly because I eat the same thing over and over again and all the recipes I switch between have been posted in the past. I do plan to spend some time in the kitchen each week trying out something new from now on after getting inspired by the cauliflower-mushroom soup combination from Katie better known as @plantstoplanks last week. (See Post)
So I made a very basic soup recipe just to try out the combination and I loved it. Just plan simple Olive oil, Onions, Lots of Garlic, Leek, Cauliflower, Mushrooms and a couple small patatoes. Some pepper, salt and Vegetable stock powder and done. Great result for a first try but the Cauliflower was a bit too dominant. Next time I will add extra mushrooms.
I did have a little accident in my kitchen. I wanted to get the soup very smooth and creamy so I put it in my blender instead of just using my mixer. I should have waited for the soup to have cooled down a bit though. On my 3th batch the pressure became a bit too big and it exploded open when taking it heads down out of the blender. Lesson learned I guess for the next time. Knowing myself I will probably be impatient and hungry again taking the risk not filling the cup up too much...
I also made some bussels sprouts as a bonus for the fruits and veggies monday. As most kidsI didn't like them when I was young but now I'm loving it when the weather gets colder.
I also have a lot of sports planned this week and started doing daily reps again

Sunday: Running (+Actifit) (+100 Reps)
Monday was a great day for once not being occupied with betting was somehow a great relief I could get used to. This post will be an all-in-one to get my Actifit report in, enter the fruits and veggies monday competition, report on my daily progress and objectives,... 10000 steps were reached again just by walking to the bio market and my yoga class. I’m looking forward to the next days in my very active week.,,

Yay! Happy to see you join in today! I think we've all had a kitchen explosion like that at least once before. At least it wasn't beet soup--that's really a mess to get everything clean!

Thank @puravidaville. Sometimes a little set back is needed (last week when I slacked) to get going strong again (right now, at least the past 2 days). I said this many times, but without keeping myself to a daily posting routine here on steemit staying honest to myself it would be a lot harder to keep going like this building new strong habits. It keeps progressing one step at a time though and old habits tend to be a challenge to overcome.
It’s easy to fall back on them but what you’re doing is working on self improvement. I think that can only raise your quality of life in every aspect. You got this @byebyehamburgers, we are all rooting for you :)

I am happy to see you again my Friend and just so you know, you don't always have to post recipes. It can be trip to a supermarket while in a produce section, or eating something vegan in a restaurant, just using an example. However, the soup looks delicious and sorry about the mess. I used to have Magic Bullet and I know it doesn't handle heavy duty stuff well, lol. Nevertheless, I hope we see you again soon 🍒 🍌🍑🌿🍍🍓🍇
