Those are really nice photos. Camping again - must be nice! Looks like an incredible place to camp. No electricity though, guess you're prepared for that. I've never seen a tree grow out of the stump like that around here. But it's quite common there?
Thank you. It's very common for trees to grow out of stumps around here. It is very dark in the forest and having that little bit of extra height helps get more light for the tree. Plus having more fertilizer from the stump helps. Sometimes the soil can get real wet too and root rot can be an issue. I like the way the roots crawl down the outside of the stump.
