Beating the Heat - My Actifit Report Card: July 13 2019
We lounged around the house most of the day then decided to head to the pool for the 5:00 - 7:00 pm swim session at the pool in Effingham. I was further enticed into this activity with the promise of eating dinner out afterward at my favorite restaurant in Effingham, Neimerg's! Win-win!
It was the perfect activity for a hot summer late afternoon. Well, maybe not perfect because my favorite all-time pool activity is water volleyball. Unfortunately, there wasn't a game going on so we made our own fun with a beach ball and a water frisbee. And I freely admit to a couple of trips down their water slide.
The pool was surprisingly underutilized for a hot sunny Saturday afternoon. I was leery to even go because I thought it would be really crowded. So it was a really pleasant surprise to almost have the big lap pool (top picture) almost to ourselves.
We both did our Seven77 Pushup Challenge in the shallow end of the play pool. The video is posted on Twitter here.
