in #aceh8 years ago

Archaeological objects or artifacts can not be made again. Once it was is damaged or lost, then it will be over forever. That's because these objects have historical value that will be useful to reconstruct a life in the past. When the objects are lost or damaged, then it was will eliminate its historic value. Nevertheless, it was, sometimes, not realized by everyone. They only see from corner of the things that are important to them today, and not take seriously anything that goes in the past.

That's what happened in Lhokseumawe at one time, ago. An ancient settlement, which based on the evidences that has been found, believed to be a settlement of the sailors, the nachodas and navigators in the sea of the Straits of Malacca, the Indian Ocean, to the South China Sea. The settlements was marked by the spread of ancient cemetery in significant numbers. In area of the site, also found various other artifacts such as pottery and metals former of woodworking and carving. The environment around the settlement shows that they are also farming, and planting for their daily needs.

Prior had to be studied more in depth, the area of historical sites, secretly, has been used as an object for other purposes that have absolutely no connection with history, and in fact, was not attach great importance to that. Then, some residents near the site area report to CISAH that area the site had been demolished to build a residential complex. Hurriedly CISAH went to look that historical site area, which situated in the territory of Lhokseumawe, in order to save and rescue archaeological objects that have been scattered and becomes no longer insitu.
