I am reporting all the posts that @grumpycat is paying bots to upvote in hypocritically. Please downvote these and resteem for more downvotes. Together, we can end the tyranny of this extortionist.

Yeah, stay away from bots in general. That doesn't mean you take people's money away. The flag is meant for curation. You correct the value of a post to what you think it should be. You don't wipe out someone's earnings just because you don't like the bot they used. That's abuse.

@sunnyali I resteemed your post. I'll get a vote in when I have the chance. I want to say though that one important principle of steem is that we are all curators and the content is decidedly good or bad by us. We're the ones responsible for whether the steemit is inundated with offensive or trash content.
It shouldn't be up to 1 person. That's how you get into totalitarianism and censorship when one person has the keys to the city. Then that person sets the rules. Not us. That is absolutely against steem's principles.
I get it though. @grumpycat woke me up too. I realized we created a situation where @grumpycat is necessary (even though it's just another scam). It's the idea that people get behind. The thing is:

Not just one account. That's what I realized and what I'm trying to accomplish here. I want people to know that we are the answer and not @grumpycat.
I mean, don't get me wrong, i invested too 5 sbd , 3 or 4 days ago, using a robot which grumpy doesn't agree with(but i didn't know at that time)..and i already lost 4 sbd from the profit i had with the bot and it's still going down...but what can i do? Learn and use a better robot which would be profitable for me and fair for the steemit community because that is steemit about, right?
I think the whole idea is that you organically grow your account by creating great quality content that will get genuinely upvoted by people who like your work. That's the whole point of this. Steemit isn't about buying upvotes; it's about creating a community where good quality content gets the rewards that it deserves.

Thank you so much for this! I was so shocked when my post value went from 12 dollars to just 2. I didn't understand it. Also Grumpycat says it only targets people who use the bot when the post is less than 2.5 days away from payout. My post was just one day old! It feels really unfair. :(

I think you misread @grumpycat. That account is targeting bots that allow people vote on posts older than 3.5 days. It doesn't matter if you do it. You chose a bot that does it. @grumpycat expects you to know all these things. The hypocrisy is that @grumpycat uses these bots that it's telling you not to use.
Further, @grumpycat picks users at random, so it has nothing to do with you or your content. People actually trying to abuse the award pool get away with abuse while innocents are victimized.
Use the rest of the bots Laura...i'm sorry this happened to you...it happend to me too..the bot must have been upvoting older posts aswell so when he was downvoted by grumpy...it affected all his upvotes he did...not all the bots out there are trully great...if you dig deeper you might see some light in grumpys' actions..
