This contest is born with an idea, this is based on each user of the community talking about their land, their town, city or nation and especially about the different types of cultures that it offers. THIS IS MY ENTRANCE I HOPE YOU ENJOY IT AS MUCH AS ME.
"CARIPITO" THE PEOPLE WHO BREEDED.
I WANT TO TALK ABOUT A VERY POPULAR CULTURE IN MY PEOPLE. MAYBE YOU ARE WAITING FOR YOU TO WRITE ON YOUR GASTRONOMY, LANDSCAPES, OR THESE TYPES OF THINGS, BUT IT WILL NOT BE THAT WAY, I WILL FOCUS ON THE PART OF YOUR RELIGIOUS CULTURE, AS IT ENCOUNTERS 80% OF ITS POPULATION.
The Jerusalem of Venezuela.
The Jerusalem that the majority knows, is that which is within the oldest cities in the world, that which is divided by religions and with a fairly extensive history. For Christians, it is the scene of suffering, the Death, the Resurrection and the Ascension of Jesus Christ.
On the other hand, there is a very peculiar people in Venezuela, rich and powerful in terms of faith, people, gastronomy, traditions, cordial and hospitable people. So much so, that to speak or write about this town in the east of the country; its geography, customs, traditions, population, history; It is an honor, it is an invaluable wealth. But even more so, talk about its ** Monumental Semana Santa Viva **, unique in Venezuela for its originality, beauty and magnitude. Legacy of Father Rafael Pérez Madueño, Cura Español native of Málaga, province of Andalucía; who since his arrival in 1959, from Caripe, where already in 1957 had founded the Holy Week of that beautiful region of Monago.
It begins to plant in this new Community its idea and this seed begins to germinate, firstly in the Catholic youth, and secondly in personalities and institutions close to its environment; given his status as a military assimilated. 1967 comes, it is time to announce and take to the street, his work that had come, years after years perfecting; under the memory of his Malaga and his wonderful ** Holy Week **.
What is Holy Week?
It is the commemoration of the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. When talking about the Passion; in this sense it means that they are each of the moments lived by Jesus since he was condemned by Pilate until his crucifixion and burial.
As for the Death reference is made to the crucifixion after crossing that long path of pain for his atoning sacrifice. The Resurrection is due to some events held by Christians and is that it is believed or believed, in which Christ was resurrected after 3 days among the dead. For this reason, it is that Holy Week has a special value in believers.

Where, how and when it is celebrated?
Holy Week is celebrated in many countries, for example: in Latin America, countries such as Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Argentina, Colombia, Chile and my beloved Venezuela. This just to mention some countries, since the list is really very long because of the number of believers who are in different parts of the world.
Everything begins on Palm Sunday (dates vary between March 22 and April 25), this year began on Sunday March 25 and ends next Sunday April 1 (Easter Sunday). In Venezuela, most of them are paralyzed with these religious acts, practically being part of the Venezuelan culture due to their antiquity in this environment. This year, like some that have already happened, Holy Week began a little earlier, on Friday, March 23 (Friday of the Council) the schools planned a Staging of the School Way, with the participation of Educational Institutions.

As I already told you, Holy Week began a little earlier, at least here. On Friday of the Council (March 23) many schools finished their classes, performing the Stations of the Cross, reliving the Passion, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and many parishes (Sacred Heart of Jesus among others) celebrated the Eucharist in a special way.

8AM: SCENING ELECTION OF THE TWELVE, BLESSING OF THE PALMS, PROCESSION AND SETTING OF THE TRIUMPHAL ENTRANCE FROM JESUS TO JERUSALEM.
This day begins Holy Week as such. In my village town very early we are awake to attend the local parishes.

A sea of people gather in Plaza Bolívar and they start a viacrucis in the direction of the Monumento del Nazareno in the town.
10AM: EUCHARIST IN THE MONUMENT TO THE NAZARENE:

6PM: PROCESSION OF THE IMAGE OF THE NAZARENE AND THE VIRGIN OF THE DOLORES: The Nazarene accompanied by a crowd of people, leaves a place in the town. While the Virgin does the same from another area to meet.

THE MONUMENTAL SANTA WEEK LIVE FROM MY PEOPLE CALLED CARIPITO.
As you read it, the people that you talk so much about, that called LA JERUSALÉN DE VENEZUELA.
It is nothing more and nothing less than CARIPITO, located to the east of Venezuela in the Monagas State. Where I have lived most of my life and of which I am proud for many reasons.
