AAR EUIV: France #9

This was a just war against Venice!
Don't let the enemy fool you!

We head into this episode with a declaration of war against Venice

Venice, seriously?
For a naval power you have no naval power!
And of course your Army is small compared to mine, otherwise I wouldn't have attacked you

Meanwhile the Evangelical Union happened.
But we cannot join..yet

Oh, I forgot about that war here.
Somewhere in North Africa.
We will come to you later, I think in the 17th century

After 4 years of hard battles we gained our victory over Bohemia.
And we are nice, they just have to give us all their money and leave some treaties behind.

And just one day later, we peace out Venice.
This is very costly for them.
Because we need all our provinces.
Money and for them to leave the alliance with Spain.
We really need to isolate them.

Now at peace, we can join the Protestant League over the HRE.

Anyway, Scotland, we had it with you!
You left our Alliance, now we take some land from you!

But first we take some land from Austria.
I guess, we will see each other in the next war soon enough.

Europe at the end of the session.
Northern Italy belongs to France. There is no denial now about that.
the British Islands will fall soon.
Southern Italy is still ruled by Spain, but a huge rebellion is going on down there.
This is in our favor.

Next session there will be a decision to be made.
England or Friesland?
Whom to attack?
Both have colonies next to mine and are ripe for your loving embrace.
Friesland will call Austria, which might trigger some avalanche of the League.
But I need Colonies in North Amerika, to fulfill my tasks there.
While England is just a nice little country, with Papal state and Bavaria as allies.
Those are weak and would stand no chance against our mighty army.

But this will be decided next time.
