AAR EUIV: France #8
Breaking countries apart since 1444.
Last day of the contest
We finished our claim on London.
This doesn't look so well for England.
Bohemia invited us into a war against Prussia.
Of course we accept.
It is a far away war, not much to lose on our side.
Our King is dead.. Or was it Queen?
The rise of a pretender is quickly forced down.
While at war, we started another war against Lucca and Savoy.
Savoy is quickly crushed.
As is Lucca.
But Venice gains more territory.
We have to do something soon.
But first, let's start the one for London.
Breaking the alliance with Venice is an important step towards the rule over Italian land.
The papal state is peaces out easily in our war against England.
Not much gained here.
The focus lies elsewhere.
On England.
We take some provinces.
All their developed colonies and free Wales.
And get invited for a war against Tlemcen.
Where we peace out, when we got some positive warscore.
This left Venice alone against the Ottomans.
So they accepted their bargain, not sure what, but it wasn't Land I guess.
But Spain now alone had to cede one province to Tlemcen and release Navarra.
While we gained Wales as vassal.
England is now as good as finished.
They will not recover from that blow.
We take also Navarra as our vassal.
Now we gained even some Spanish territory.
Meanwhile we are fighting against Morocco on Spanish side.
Which opens the opportunity for a war against Venice.
They would not be joined by Spain. Only Bohemia and Bosnia would take their side.
Those odds are in our favour.
Europe as we now it, dominated by France, Ottomans Spain and Bohemia.
There is a big one at the horizon..
The new world awaits us.
We need some wars against Holland to gain more islands.
Frisia is in Florida.
And Spain everywhere.
That was a fun 10 years today.
The war with Venice will decide the French fate.
Hmm.. I should have started it.
Always start a war, when ending a session :))
So you are in for more surprises next time.
