Okay, my face looks a little distorted and stretched here probably because of the camera lens pull on the edge of the screen but who cares because I had an awesome food tasting meetup with #teammalaysia. It has been a while since we got together. A lot of us have pockets of little mini meetups with one another here and there but it has been awhile since we had more than 10 #teammalaysia Steemians gather together. This time, we were invited by @danielwong and for one sole purpose. One purpose that we all LOVE, and that is FOOD. Add in the word 'tasting' behind it makes it even more compelling.

If you guys must know, @danielwong is the FIRST Steemian from Malaysia to adopt Steem/SBD as a payment method in his burger joint in Malaysia. Because of this move, he has inspired many other Malaysians to do so and that adopting crypto is the future to any kind of businesses. I remember that when Steem/SBD rates were high, it only costs 1 Steem/SBD for a full set of burger meal.

Every now and then, @danielwong would invite us to his food tasting extravaganza to introduce a new burger recipe for his burger business. So... why not make it a #teammalaysia meetup at the same time! It was good catching up.

I left my office at 6pm with a determined mind to brace the heavy traffic most Malaysians would have to go through at its peak hours. Surprisingly, it took me slightly over an hour to reach and trust me when I say that an hour was already good. Sometimes these work jams can be stretched on.

When I reached, I already started seeing a queue outside Daniel's food truck. My tummy rumbled. As much as I love food, I quickly parked my car and head into the cafe where the food truck was parked to meet with the others and got a table. I was one of the earliest to arrive so after saying hi to @happycrazycon, @fitinfun and @danielwong, I went to queue to get my hands on that Lasagna Burger that I've been dying to try for two weeks now.

I finally got to meet with @fitinfun after hearing about her for months from the others and with that bag she is holding up, she is clearly from Canada. I got to a nice chat with her, getting to know her for the first time and what she has been up to in Malaysia, until the burger arrived and it was time for some sloppy lasagna burger.

There you go, basically a lasagna right slap in the center of the burger. Literally... the burger bun was just to host the lasagna so you can actually carry it to your mouth like all burgers should. the taste was well, lasagna but it was unique. It was like a sloppy joe, a burger with no solid patty and it was flavourful like eating bolognese right from the hot pot. Om nom nom nom...

A little later, the rest arrived. The place was half packed with Steemians. @joannewong, @aaronleang, @denion, @fitinfun, @happycrazycon, @danielwong, @hooiyewlim, @bitrocker2020, @ireenchew, @khimgoh, and @awesomianist came or this little event.

I had a good catchup with @danielwong as we were talking about all things crypto. From #dlive running away to some of the crypto games in the market that have just budded up. I hope the night didn't pass so fast though, because we haven't been catching up for like ages and with good food and company, the night was perfect.

Who knew that embarking on a Steemit adventure would've gotten me to a point where I get to meet all these awesome people just through one platform. Sharing the same passion in blogging, food, crypto and just pure genuine conversations are just hard to find nowadays. This is Team Malaysia and the people you see here are all amazing individuals who has given their time and effort one way or another to help contribute and build the Steem Blockchain and the Team Malaysia community. I know that there are many others who could not make it but there is always next time because when you hear that there is a 'Team Malaysia meetup', there is bound to be laughter, joy and FOOD.
