Take a moment....

HI Everyone!, Dave Hicks with zoomtruth.com I wrote this to help provide an example of how simple thought experiments can help you change the way you live and hopefully make the world a better place. In this article I try and share the logic I used that helped make stopping eating meat easier for me. There isn't any talk of animal cruelty in this piece, just photos of my friendly cat friends. It can be easy not to eat meat, and I hope I can help even one person out there who wants to stop but has just liked the taste of meat just too much to actually do it. So please give a read and maybe you will see what I have come to see, that my cute little (Mice Terminators) kitties and all their friends with faces make the world better a place as our friends, rather than our food.

Now I don’t know about you, but the thought of getting up everyday to have to EARN a living by killing animals all day long just does not seem so pleasant. The idea that MY Want for eating meat creates the job responsibility for some poor bastard of Killing animals all day is very depressing to me. So when I imagine that person participates in killing animals for me so I can please my own tastes, eating animal meat can no longer can be a pleasant experience for me. Try and imagine what it must be like killing animals for 8 hours a day for a check and often a shitty underpaid one at that. Now that sounds like HELL to me and my need for tasting meat was causing it to happen.

.....did I ever consider the cost?

I have pets, 3 cats, from what I understand, these beautiful, loving furry four legged creatures actually make for delicious snacks in a few other countries, and as a former fellow meat eater, who am I to criticize what type of meat is chosen to eat by someone? And for you dog lovers, yes dogs are on the menu also in some places. There is so much hypocrisy going on in the world today that many people have become numb to it all and knowingly or unknowingly, actually allow themselves to participate in some of the hypocrisy. I see this as essentially lying to ourselves, so we you can fulfill our wants and not worry about the ethical problems we know our own actions are causing. It is no way to live and it is the way the majority live.

Am I a Hypocrite?

To live as hypocrite is to live as a liar in my mind. You cannot run around professing that you love your pets ohh so much, and then turn around and eat one of them for dinner, but that is essentially what we do. That does not make any sense. Pets can be almost any type of animal, cats, pigs, dogs, mice, chickens, fish, turtles, cows, dogs and ferrets and many more, so if you think you don’t want to eat other people’s pets then more than likely you can stop eating meat fairly easily if you choose. So please, the next cheeseburger, steak, or chicken that you get ready to order up, before you do, think of the person who has to do the killing for you , and think of your most loved pet and then take personal action and stop the killing and eating of innocent animals, and you too can live knowing you are not a hypocrite when it comes time to eat, and Love will grow inside your heart so that you won’t want to even eat meat anymore ( I hope LOL)!
I am serious as a heart attack, there are many other benefits of not eating meat so please join me and spread the word of LOVE!
