The community feature is still a newly innovated feature on the steem chain as it came alive this year. This feature has helped out in the sorting and categorizing of differing content on the steem chain. These communities are created by various steem users who automatically become administrators running their newly created community. They can assign duties and roles to other steemians who are tagged with moderator roles or any other tags depending on the responsibilities assigned to the particular participant.

It’s advisable to create a community when you have at least 10 potential participants in that community. Otherwise, you may create a community that may remain inactive and invaluable to the steem ecosystem and to you as an individual.

Steps involved in creating a Community on the steem Blockchain

Click on Steemit in the left top corner of the steemit page. Scroll down and find explore communities. Click it. You will then see a list of already existing communities and on top of that list find the option “create community. Click it, and then you will be redirected to a new page where you will be required to fill in the title and the description of your community.

You will then enter your username and the generated password for that community. You will also be required to enter your password and username when signing in again and allocating new roles to some of your members.

You will finally be required to pay 3 steem for finalizing the creation of your community.
