Fifty runs till May #41
Run #41/50 - 82%: ✔
I'm finishing the year off with one more run and unfortunately I wasn't in a good shape today. I had to make a few stops to catch my breath again. I think that the bruises from Fridays falls combined with some flu symptoms yesterday really affected my immune system. Besides I've been doing quite a few activities over the past few weeks, so maybe I was a bit exhausted as well.
I left at first light, which helped create some stunning photos
- Weather: 7 degrees, mild but with strong 21km/h winds
- Distance: 10,7 kilometers
- Time: 1 hour and 4 minutes
- Pace: 5:58 min/km
- Training Effect: 4,6 = Overreaching
As I left at first light, to get the most out of the day, I also stopped to take a few pictures of the view. The weather is suddenly very mild compared with what we've had the past few weeks and combined with a favourable wind from the south this brings some warm air into the country and over the mountains, called föhn. This also creates a clear view over the Alps from where we live.
This picture was taken just before position #7 on the map above. The position numbers also correspond with the amount of kilometers I am in my run at that point
This picture I took between position #1 and #9 on the map above
Thanks for your support and also in the new year, keep running and stay fit. Let's do this, 9 to go for my 50 runs!
Happy New Year! and @toofasteddie good luck with your run today!

I know very well that feeling.
Sometimes happens, you passed from cold to mild temperature as well as from high to low altitude
All the best for 2018!
I'm sure it was a one off, too many exercises in a short space of time, change in weather constantly, the bruises and near flu causing my immune system to go into overtime and the actual different weather as what I'm now used to all must've played a part, but no excuses. Next time will be better again. How did the run go?
You also all the best for 2018!
As I expected, not as your bets, but well, quite well I guess for an almost 43 years old man I guess, 36'39''.
I will write a post as soon as we finish the new year's eve celebration
Nice one! You're much faster than I'll ever do. only 37 seconds slower than what I predicted, really good!
Upvoted. Keep up the great work.

Sorry, I'm not into the NFL that much as a European.
Keep up the great work!
Thanks, I sure try to.
It would great to have a perfect view while running like this. Thanks @wolfje for great photos.
Thanks, yes the view is also a great motivator, besides the surroundings, animals and other personal factors
