In 2023, Britannia’s story continues as she is reimagined once more as the defender of Britain’s shores and protector of peace.

This year, the iconic figure returns on the Britannia coin as the protector of Britain’s shores, reimagined in all her maritime majesty by artist Jonathan Olliffe. For 2023, Britannia is drawn in a chariot by mighty sea creatures, in a design reminiscent of the iconic Boadicea and Her Daughters statue next to Westminster Bridge.

Struck to Proof standard, Britannia coins combine the skill of the artist with the finest craftsmanship to create a work of art.
