Welcome to our 17th episode of the bearkid series exclusive only here at Steemit. A photo shoot with my lovely daughter @bearkid. Every Friday we travel, tell stories, cook, share about life and culture. In this episode bearkid found a box of my old toys and we decided to have a little fun with them and tell a story about a doughnut, a mountain and a giant.

Bearkid the Titan

There once was a bearkid who ruled the mountains. Enslaving the inhabitants of the land. Giving everything she desired to keep them from destruction. Those who dared to oppose her faced a sure end. They scouted the land to provide what bearkid demanded in fear of her wrath. A tyrannical ruler bearkid dominated and instilled despair throughout the land.

Life was hard for the inhabitants day and night they prepared their daily offering for the Titan bearkid. Using up a large portion of their resources just to appease the appetite of the hearless Titan.

Tired of working the whole day preparing the giant doughnut. The inhabitants were beginning to complain about the hard life they are facing

"When will this end? This mad Titan has turned us into slaves."

With a panicked voice one of them answered.

"Do not question the Titan. If we go against her will we will face a sure end." "Let us just keep working and give her what she wants and she will leave us alone."

Another voice from the crowd,

"All is lost as no one is brave enough to go against her wishes." "He is right we must accept the fate that is upon us."

Quietly the inhabitants continued the preparation of their offering. With feeling of hopelessness they were trapped in despair.

The preparation was complete and they went ahead on their journey to the mountain to present the demand of Titan bearkid.

They traveled a long way bearing the offering. Crossing across the wide valley that leads to the mountain.

The doughnut is one of the favorite offerings of bearkid. Everyday treats head her way made by the hands of the inhabitants who slaved all day in fear of destruction.

Careful not to drop the offering they help each other in bearing the giant doughnut. The weight of the treat is so much but they cannot stop for a rest as light is fading.

Finally they reached their destination. The mountain where the Titan sleeps and the smell of the doughnut will now awaken the hungry bearkid.

The moment they reached the mountain a rumbling was heard.The ground shook and with it terror descended upon the inhabitants. The rocks crumbled as the Titan is slowly awakening.

The inhabitants waited in fear as they watched the rising of the Titan from the mountain. A lot of worries comes to their mind fearful that their offering would not please bearkid.

Slowly arising their hearts raced faster and faster. A terror from behind the mountains striking fear to anyone who sees it. Something which they could never get used to in spite of their daily offerings.

Coming from behind the mountain the Titan bearkid arose and a frightening giggle echoed across the land.

With a loud voice like a thundering sound, "I smell doughnut and my hunger must be satisfied."

"Raaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhr Raaaaaaaaaahr"

"Yum Yum where is the treat to fill my belly?"

One of the dwellers answered, "We offer you this doughnut as you requested our great Titan"

Bearkid answered,"Well well if I be pleased I shall not destroy you today."

The Titan slowly gazed at the doughnut and slowly reached out.

Lifting the treat in the air she examines the doughnut. The scent of the caramel that glazed the treat pleased the Titan.

Taking her first bite the sound can be heard from afar like the sound of trees falling from the sky in every bite.

Savoring every bite, "Munch, Munch, Munch"

She took her time in finishing the treat. Making it last for her satisfaction and enjoying every bite.

Finally it was down to the last bite.

After a moment the doughnut was all gone.

She said, "This is the best and I want more.Tomorrow you shall bring me three doughnuts instead of one."

The inhabitants trembled in fear and felt hopeless as it was impossible to provide three doughnuts for the offering next day.

One of them answered and tried to reason out, "Our great Titan it is impossible for us to provide three doughnuts as the land is already dry."

Bearkid made a loud growl and said, " You dare question my demand!"

She picked up the inhabitant and lifted him up in the air. As he trembled bearkid stared into his eyes.

"You shall do what I say as you already know to consequence if you dare go against my will."

"You shall bring me three doughnuts tomorrow or else all of you will face destruction."

Bearkid threw him down the mountain and went rolling down like a rag doll barely escaping for his life.

With a thunderous voice she said, "With your insolence you will now bring me four doughnuts instead of three. If you are not here tomorrow before the sun sets. I will come and destroy everything in my path."

The rest of the inhabitants questioned no more and headed back to plan how they will prepare for the demand of the Titan.
