Praia da Rocha - Algarve - Portugal
A Praia da Rocha, a praia ao lado da marina de Portimão e do Forte de Santa Catarina (também conhecido como o Forte de Santa Catarina de Ribamar), é um forte medieval situado no município de Portimão, no Algarve português.
A estrutura foi considerada um dos últimos projetos militares da dinastia Filipina, no Algarve, erguidos para defender a península de piratas e corsários, bem como invasões militares.
A sua construção é um dos melhores exemplos de Alexandre Massai, engenheiro militar que visitou o Algarve (entre 1617 e 1621) para reforçar numerosas fortificações militares ao longo da costa portuguesa.
Já tenho saudades de passar umas férias por essa zona!
