BISI BELE BATH RECIEPE:

source

Last night my grand mother told me that she's gonna prepare my favorite dish for the breakfast next morning.

I had read a few of @allasyummyfood's food posts a few weeks ago and an idea flashed into my mind.

Why not post the recipe of my favorite Indian Dish!

It's easy to cook and very tasty.

Ingredients:

  1. Beans : 100 grams
  2. Carrot : A few pieces as shown in the figure.
  3. Green Peas: 3 hand fulls (Soaked for 8 hours)
  4. Rice : 1 tumbler
  5. Red Gram : 3/4 tumbler
  6. Water: 6-8 tumbler
  7. Refined oil : 6-7 teaspoon
  8. Ghee : 4-5 teaspoon (or more depending on your preference)
  9. Mustard Seeds : 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Salt : 3 teaspoons (or more depending on your preference)
  11. Bisi Bele Bath Powder
  12. Cashew nuts

Directions:

Step 1: Chop Chop!

Step 2: Carrot and beans in 1:3 ratio (quantity).

Step 3: Green Peas.

Step 4: 1 tumbler rice.

Step 5: 3/4th tumbler Red gram.

Step 6: Add everything to a pressure cooker.

Step 7: Add 6-8 tumbler of water.

Until it looks like this.

Step 8: Let it boil in the cooker until 3 whistles (15 min approx).

After 3 whistles, you'll get this:

Step 9: Take a pan, add 6-7 teaspoonful of oil and 1/2 teaspoonful of mustard seeds.

Step 10: Heat it until it starts making popping sounds. Once it does, add the rice from cooker to the pan.

Step 11: Add ghee, salt, cashew and Bisi Bele Bath powder and mix it.

This is the Bisi Bele Bath powder that I recommend. It's by MTR, a reputed spice brand in India.

You can buy it on Amazon.

Step 12: To add to the taste, you can spread some mixture on it.

The end result will look like this:

There was no cashew at home. So we didn't add it.

Hope you enjoy making Bisi Bele Bath and eating it as well.

Great post ! Today i just lost my job...i worked really hard as a waiter for like 10 years in a restaurant...worked night after night shifts but still they decide they don't need my services anymore and that they don't have money to pay me so they just kick me out . It was really hard for me to find this job because i don't have much education....i did't go to college...
The real problem is that i have a debt of 759 $ to my apartment rent and if i don't pay till the end of the month they gonna kick me out from my own home. I don't have friends and my family won't lend me any money...
My only hope now to raise this money is steemit...i like it alot here and the community is very nice...

Please if anybody would like to help me , a upvote would be awesome and would help me tremendously to raise the money i need .

Thank you very much for your help and i hope you have a great day .

Hey @toscani40, can I suggest you a small thing?
Put your full effort on making an article on steemit.
Maybe even spend a whole day or two. The rewards will be amazing and you'll not need to work as waiter anymore. Cheers buddy! :)
