How to keep busy.
I have had it all.
A desk, a computer, a laptop, a terrible slow useless tablet and a calendar.
Not one but several. One at work on my desk, one at home for my business and the children's theirs and one for birthdays. Some were new years gifts others I bought.
Once I left school I thought I would never need one again. I bought a simple one and as the week was over I made those two pages black and glued some headlines out of the newspapers on it.
Once I started working I needed one to organize my life, child, work, etc. No matter what size it was always too small.
I still have a calendar.
Even two by now if I do not count the one in my phone.
One black one that goes from August till August (it is a school calendar and only hosted 1 euro it so) and another one that started this year. I did not really need that one. 🤔
A calendar is no good. If you start keeping one you keep writing and checking and this is all extra work. The fact is I seldom looked in it. Even not if it was right under my nose. I can remember what I need to remember and if it is not of my business (kids, school, etc) the children will tell me when it is time to...

I have a tiny calendar here on my wall at work, but seldom mark them. Because I have a terrible memory I do use my phone calendar to bombard me with reminders. I hope all is well with you and yours.

I still do not see the benefit of it but hey we join and see. Who knows something will change... Sooner or later. I wrote a poll and asked around. I doubt it will be the next hype.

HIVES! hahaha I hadn't made that connection with the rash. The hives are like rashes - which one would you like to suffer from today my dear? Downvotes are like gnats. Seems to me hives are just one more way to hobble us, make us band together in ghettos. The upvote curve already made our money buy less than the same amount would buy a whale. Steem goes the way of the outside world with all its trying to be different. I am getting over it I'm afraid. I really must stop caring about the money and just go for the content, but if you don't have a nice upvote to give to readers, few care about your content. If they really want to attract more accounts, they should stop trying to modify our behavior. Rant over.

Oh, we writers, fulfilling stereotypes - and look how many of us have chronic illness (like the writers of the 19th C all dying of tuberculosis). As for the hives, the segregation, the group-think and the downvoters, I hear you. (Well said, and dittos!)

How do you log in into that community?
If I click on the tag (no matter of there is more as one hive used) I can read them all.
