Club100 - Steemit Engagement Challenge - Muslim's Festival
In the Islamic calendar, there are two main festivals for Muslims. Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Azha. I will be discussing the Eid ul Fitr because it's recently ended.
WHAT IS EID
Eid ul Fitr is the gift from Allah. Allah gifted the Eid to Muslims as the reward of fasting for 30 days. Eid means the breaking of the fast. To fast in Eid ul fits is not permitted in Islam because it is the day of celebration. I don't know why some people can't feel any excitement during Eid, and if I talk about myself, I don't sleep the whole night because of the excitement. Muslims around the world celebrate Eid on the first of Shawal (Islamic month)., Muslims celebrate Eid with their family and loved ones.
PREPARATION FOR EID

People who can afford to buy new clothes for Eid. Women apply henna in their hands. Every year I apply mehndi in my hands. In childhood, I remember crying because it was too late and we couldn't go out for my henna; then my baba took me to the aunty's house so she could apply mehndi in my hands. But now, I can apply it in my hand (one hand and non-professional, of course ).
For eid preparation, people normally cook sweet dishes and different delicious food. The traditional sweet dish normally people make on Eid is sheer khurma (I don't know what it is called in English). We cook different delicious food on Eid.
EID PRAYER
The first thing people do in Eid is eid prayers. There are many people normally in the masjid for eid prayers. I remember when I was younger, maybe 3-4 years old. I was used to going with my father to attend Eid namaz. There must be a place for female eid prayer in Pakistan too. There is a different way of offering eid namaz. And after namaz, everyone eats something sweet.

The most important, special and charming thing about Eid is eidi. Eidi is the gift or money that elders give. Children become rich in Eid.

You explained well about Eid Festival. Eid is one the Best Festival because I see all the poeple get ready and go to Masjid for Prayer.
I love when my father come back from Eid Prayer and Say Eid Mubarak to all of us and hug all of us.

Yes it's a great feeling when Baba and my brother come back home after offering namaz.
I went to offer namaz only when I was too young as mama said but I remembered because the Eid namaz was very confusing for me at that time iykwim

It's the last year Mehndi, this year our Mehdi was not perfect because I applied it 😆 and secondly we didn't have time to go anywhere for mehndi.

The mehendi looks beautiful 😍 and wow i didn't know that you apply mehendi too. I believe especially on auch occasion one member from family should know this all because the parlours are too crowded.
