İnternet Türkiye'de 25 Yaşında
Bundan tam 25 yıl önce, 12 Nisan 1993 tarihinde, Türkiye'de ilk internet bağlantısı kuruldu. Bu tarihten sonra da Türkiye'de internet uzun ve yükseln bir yol aldı.
Tabi bu tarihten öncesi de var. 1991 yılında ODTÜ ve TÜBİTAK tarafından internet bağlantısı gerçekleştirecek bir ağ bağlantı projesi başlatıldı. Bu proje sayesinde Türkiye 12 Nisan 1993 tarihinde, TCP/IP protokolü üzerinden Türkiye, ABD - Ulusal Bilim Vakfı (NSF) ağına bağlandı.
1994-96 yılları arasında internet kullanan üniversitelere Bilkent, Boğaziçi, Ege ve İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi de katıldı. 1996 yılında ise diğer kamu-özel sektör kuruluşları ve hanehalkına internetin ulaşması mümkün oldu.
Aradan geçen 25 yıl sonrasında internet sosyal medya siteleri, online oyun siteleri, e-ticaret siteleri gibi alanlara yayılarak neredeyse hayatımızın her parçasına girmiş oldu.
Artık internetsiz bir hayat düşünemiyoruz
