I Earn Just 10 Cents A Post! So What ! I Am Not Going To Quit STEEMIT !
This was my motto since the day I posted my first entry Me Intro which only earned me .10 dollars.
Yesterday I had by 1000th follower and my first post which made around 100 $. I used to get just 10 cents. Now I get at least a dollar so what changed? Here is what.
I was motivated by my 10 cent earnings as I thought from here the things can only go up, but as the days passed by and each and every one of my post failed drastically on Steemit so the Motto was getting harder to keep but not impossible.
I tried to resolve why exactly are my posts failing? What have I been doing wrong ? I was writing good original content, using amazing pictures and sharing on a regular basis where was I wrong? but then I realized I was still treating my account like an blog where does the community factor go ? I was not interacting with anyone, never used to read somebody else’s content than why would anybody read mine? Why would anybody spend their precious time reading my post from which I only aim to make money? I then started spending most of my time with the community and learned a few things.
"Steemit is not your blog, It is a community"
I actively started reading others posts, and commented heart fully on their content which I genuinely read or watched thru. I never commented very common things like “great content loved it” “thanks for sharing” “Wow I didn’t know that”, “Nice pictures”, Instead of commenting I added value, If I genuinely respected somebody work I never forgot to say it and in specifics of what I really liked, as a poster you can easily decide from the comments who have read your content and who is just here to drop a comment. People loved the way how I really read the content and interacted with them to their content and they came back to my post and read my content and showed their appreciation in a similar way. From there my posts where moved on from just few cents to at least a dollars, So let me drop a advice for everyone which is already been shared a lot.
"Don’t just comment, Add value to the post"
Interacting with the community really helps you figure out what you had been doing wrong all this time. For example for a health advices on my blog I never used to cite scientific evidence which surely made my post demeaning but I never thought of it and it was pointed out to me by few fellow Steemians for which I am very grateful to them I now tend to present citations if necessary. If I never would have interacted with everyone I would have not known many things like benefits of randowhale, Why I should I only up-vote content that I really feel deserves it, Why supporting the younger ones in the community is very much important or the fact that whales are just people like us and will be happy to support you if you support everybody.
"Don’t just be a part of the community, Interact!"
Today I am just a step more in the community from where I was in the last month, and I will make it further for sure not just by walking alone but by moving together holding hands with each and everyone. And I will never forget.

I really love the way you detail out how to grow better here on steemit. As a new member of the community from Nigeria, i must say this your article is very much helful. This is a great post. I completely agree with your attitude about how to get the most out of being on Steemit.
You can definitely notice the cycles on here. There will be a week or two where the "get rich quick" people come on, realize they can't make thousands of dollars with minimal investment in the community, and leave as quick as they joined.
Then you'll see those of us who want to grow and improve the community, frequently getting small payouts on our posts, but continuing to post anyway and sharing in the community. People like you are why I continue to interact with the community and share in the community!
People like me and you .. We are going to make this great community the greatest.

Many of the people who are making a lot of money on here are people playing a game, they are not interested in quality content, there is so much fake on here. Even replies are fake and it will be steemits undoing I suspect.

And I tend to think that most people on here cannot make money from their interesting blogs, and they will go elsewhere as the growing amount of alternative steemit sites get better. Unfortunately there are too many multiple accounts on here from people doing strategic voting. It cant last surely?
Wow .. Didn't knew a page like this exists .. I will go right away and read it ... I hope it last ! the tricks used by several steemers surely degrades the value of steemit thou

Thank you very much for this post. He was happy to read it. I still can not understand why my one post is priced at 1 cent and the second one is $ 10 although he only had one photo and a short comment.
It really depends on who upvotes your content .. even if 50 percent with very low voting power and influence upvote your content you will only get 4-5 dollars but if even a single person with very high influence and voting power upvotes you it can make 100 $
