Friendly Introduction
A Little Background History:
Hello everyone my name is Robert, and I started using steemit because of my friend @daddykirbs! I'm doing this to give everyone a little insight to who I am and also to interact with fellow steemains.
I have basically have an A.A.S. in Horticulture (all I have to do is my math class) so I have a passion for growing my own food and anything to do with plants! Recently my wife (Betsy) and I decide to move back home from Chesapeake, VA to Charlottesville, VA after finishing her B.S. in Dental Hygiene. We are currently trying to sell our house in Chesapeake so we can help out her parents, because they are getting to an older age and need some assistance. They have graciously allowed us to move into the basement apartment they have. Right now I'm currently working at the local golf course and started school again, with hopes of maybe getting a A.A.S. in Information Technology with cyber-security. As horticulture is my passion I would love to have a well paying job in this field is not looking to good, hence the other degree.
My Goals for the Future:
As for the future I would love to have a small farm/homestead that I could feed my family nutritious food grown at home. My wife and I plant to have children in the near future and I want to be able to support them both financially and with being self-sustainable without having to rely on the commercial market for everything we need in life. This year I plant to establish a functional garden in the small lot we have at Betsy's parents house. Don't quote me but I think the half about 3/4 of acre mostly wood and on a hill which makes things a bit difficult! Another endeavor I would like to start is having chickens for fresh eggs and possibly meat down the road.

I would like to let everyone know that any encouragement would be greatly appreciated! If anyone has questions that I maybe able to help out with let me know and I'll do my best to share my input. I also enjoy many other activities such as cooking, hiking, fishing, and just being outdoors. I hope fellow steemians will enjoy the ride as I take on a new chapter of my life as well I hope to enjoy your journeys as well.

@biohackerpro Thanks for welcome I truly believe we need to see each others lives as unique and that we could learn something for each individual if we try hard enough. Everyone has a story to tell or something to teach, we just have to be able to accept it may be different than we think!

I was in Bradley, WV at Appalachian Bible College in 2006. Cool place. I was working on the garden today. It is healthy to be outside sometimes.
