This is common guava, yellow guava, lemon guava, or apple guava is an evergreen shrub or small tree belonging to the family of Myrtaceae. It’s native to the Caribbean, Central America & South America. It’s easily pollinated by insects; when cultivated, it’s pollinated mainly by the common honey bee, Apis mellifera. Guava has a number of medicinal properties, it is the most common & popular traditional remedy for gastrointestinal infections such as diarrhea, dysentery, stomach aches & indigestion.
