Hello!

I've just arrived here and I'm still trying to understand how things work around here.

I'm portuguese and I love to travel. For some time I keep my travel experiences in a blog written in portuguese but I wanted to expand my audience to what I'm sharing, so I decided to begin sharing those experiences, thoughts and ideas in english. I just found that steemit would be a great idea to begin this new "adventure".

I'll follow, more or less, my initial idea to be a "un-budget traveler", which you may ask what is that? So...

Why "un-budget"?

Nowadays, when we research and investigate travel, where to travel, where to stay, which transports to use, much of the information we find online is provided by travelers who have a great budget concern. These travelers usually make long journeys, where time is not a problem, but the budget is, so that the trip can last for long.

Me, as I usually have little time and fortunately I have some money for travel, I can choose to spend a little more on travel options that either allow me to save time while traveling or opt for more "special" experiences. So, here I share, either my experiences, or tips that can be useful to those who travel like me: in a "un-budget" way. (obviously not splurge).

I hope I'll have time and inspiration to feed this place with my experiences, thoughts and ideas in a way that will keep you interested and, if possible, to inspire you to pack and travel more and enjoy this great pleasute that is to travel!

Hello ub-traveler! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
