Awesome Metal Bands part 5: Korpiklaani

today I found some posts of @elainetheinsane about my favourite festival here in Germany Summer Breeze. My first time on this festival was in 2011 and from then I was addicted to it. I saw a lot of great bands there the last 7 years and the following band i want to write about, played an awesome show last year in 2016. It's that kind of metal you can headbang but also dance to:

The Finnish folk metal band Korpiklaani!

Korpiklaani passed through an evolution of 2 projects (Shamaania Duo and Shaman) before they founded Korpiklaani (which means Forest Clan) as we know it now in Lahti, Finland in 2003. From then on they enriched the world with one great album after the other.

It's the perfekt music for partying and dancing. Yes, metalheads are not always grimly. Actually they're the funniest guys i know - when we are in a surrounding we like :D
I saw Korpiklaani around 3 times the last 5 years and it was always a big party. They're really crazy guys with songs like Vodka, Beer Beer or Tequila. Prepare yourself to get in the mood for drinking when you listen to their music!
Of course they also have serious songs like the song Lempo (= fiery God of fertility).

If you want to listen to an older song i'd recommend Tequila from the album UKON WACKA or Keep on Galloping from the album KORVEN KUNINGAS. Give it a try :)
