Thank you. She was the best, better than the best. She raised the roof and moved the heart so many times, but the performance that stands above all others for me was her acting/singing role in the Blues Brothers. It was a guy movie, and the brothers were on a guy mission, but Aretha Franklin stole the show. I know we can't keep treasure forever, but it would have been nice to have her a little longer.
You are welcome. I agree the movie would have lacked not having her in it. Since so many artists of her stature and history are seemingly becoming lost. My FB friends don't like it when someone dies. I post several songs and movie clips to remind them. She is one of those that touched people that have no idea who she is and what she meant.
