Little Pied Cormorants.
Pied cormorants are common Australian waterbirds. They are characterized by their white underbellies and black feathers on the top.
The Little Pied Cormorant resembles the Pied Cormorant Phalacrocorax Varius but is much smaller with a predominantly shorter bill. Cormorants are found in both fresh and salt water areas and are often seen in large flocks along the coast and in waterways where there is plenty of fish to feed on.
Their diet consists of a wide variety of aquatic animals from insects to fish and they love freshwater yabbies and shrimps. They breed in colonies, or less commonly, in single pairs and use sticks to build their nests which are placed in trees and then they line the nests with green leaves. Both male and female cormorants share the responsibility of egg incubation and caring for their young.

Thank you @pardinus We have black cormorants too and they are all beautiful. I love it when I get the opportunity to take photos of them.
Great shots. Your cormorants are pretty, Trudee. The ones I’ve seen here all black.
Thank you Jo. We have a variety of cormorants and we are lucky to have them live on the Recliffe Peninsula.
Nice photos! That's one heck of a beak! If that's the shorter one, I wouldn't want to mess with the longer version...
There are cormorants here, but not like those!
Those beaks are their life-line @fotosdenada Those hooks at the end of them are very effective to catch fish and crustaceans etc. Many thanks for veiwing and visiting my friend. It is always appreciated.
WOW ...They are so beautiful they must be very friendly for you to get pictures so close up !!
