#SublimeSunday - Four Feathered Fotos With Funky Filters

in #sublimesunday5 years ago (edited)

Last week, I jumped into the #SublimeSunday tag (hosted by @c0ff33a on Steem), and it was so much fun I'm doing it again! This time around, instead of browsing through storm photos, I'm doing Four Feathered Fotos With Funky Filters.

Say that three times fast. 😂

I was inspired to do this by @tattoodjay's latest #WednesdayWalk post. He did some wicked cool and funky edits with his Lensbaby and some Photoshop filters.

After seeing the awesomesauce effects, I thought it would be fun to go through my own most recent #WednesdayWalk post and pick out some shots to filter on my go-to photo editor, PicMonkey. After realizing I had a good handful of bird photos, the rest just fell into place.

Before I get started though, be sure to check out tag host @c0ff33a's most recent #SublimeSunday post for more info on this wicked cool initiative - Sublime Sunday An excuse to post your random, creative or crazy ideas by @c0ff33a ☕️

Now here are my #SublimeSunday Four Feathered Fotos With Funky Filters!

Looks like a fun game 😊
Liked Bluebird in Lomo and Phoebe in Bokeh and Robin mirrored ❤️

It was wicked fun, @kaerpediem! And thanks so much - I the mirrored Robin is one of my faves too. 😊 ❤️

Wow! Those filters can certainly change things.
I do not have photoshop, or any other editing programs, as I rather post things as they are.
But in saying this, nature is the harbinger of art.
Some great work here my friend!
Blessings!

Thanks so much, @papilloncharity! I actually use an online photo editing thingamabob called https://www.picmonkey.com/, and while I have the paid version (the eldest needed it for her YouTube channel), if I remember correctly their basic version is pretty cool. I've also used https://www.lunapic.com too, and that's free. And I feel much the same as you, which is why playing with the edits was so much fun! 😊

Thank you for the links Lady @traciyork.
Now here's the strange thing about me?
I feel hesitant to edit pictures of nature, as my thought is that I would be imposing a human view on something that was created as a beautiful sight (as is) for us to enjoy.
Almost as a sacrilege for me to alter it in any way.
Does this make any sense to you?

But of course if it's meant to be displayed as art, it's okay, as it's a totally different use.
Blessings!

Totally makes sense, and I can understand your feelings on it, @papilloncharity. Bright blessings to you in return! 😊

I know some bird names now than you! And what a great collection of photos, you captured these perfectly and I love the different edits. Favourite is the robin focal zoom

So glad you liked them, @c0ff33a! And happy to spread the knowledge - especially since I acquired most of it by pestering people in FB bird watching groups...LOL! And thanks so much! 😊
