I have been working on Steemit for a long time. Steemit is a blogging platform. Here people earn steem/trx by sharing blog. Here we need upvote to earn steem/trx Account requires. Steempower to upvote. For example if my account has 100000 steem power. Then I will get 0.78$ for every 100% upvote. Steemit platform exists for steem holders. Steemit has many steem holders.
