By looking at people you can really learn a lot about yourself. In fact, the longer and more detailed you look the more you might wonder at that boundary that exists between you and the man or woman next to you. ....

Having spent some days in this town my heart longed for a more quiet place again. I couldn't say that the town I had wandered into was necessarily overcrowded or particularly ugly; quite the opposite was the case. But it was still a town. I appreciated people's company and myself being a human it would be strange to not want to mingle with them and learn and live.

But I always felt in my heart this longing for nature whenever I would be with people for an extended period of time. Nature I became to realize is really indescribable: sure, there are the trees and plants, the animals and the elements, but if you try to name that thing which gives you peace there I find it an impossible thing to do. It is a complete different energy (or perhaps it is the energy) that can be felt in the heart, but not captured with the mind.

And so I began to walk out of town.

When leaving a town or even a city, the boundary normally isn't too obvious. Houses start to be inter spaced by more plants and they get fewer and fewer, until there are more trees than houses and one finally realizes that one has left the town. And so it was here as well.

In the distance I could see some mountain ranges coming closer and I could make out a small lake. A family was in their fields and the man I believe was looking at his crop for any sign of damage. It was a beautiful place and I thought how comforting it must be to grow up here, surrounded by all this wilderness and beauty. Not wanting to disturb them I continued walking.
