Starting a Business
In recent times, the rate of unemployment keeps increasing yet schools keep increasing. Its great to have an education but the Bible even makes us understand that it does a fool no good to spend money on education. Many of us complete the university yet we sit idle with nothing to do. Indeed starting a business isnt all smooth and there are hindrances that come in our way. Nevertheless its worth the journey these recent times.
I got home for a long vacation. This is by far one of the most exciting vacation as I am undergoing new things. We started a coconut business where we produce coconut flakes from dry coconut. Its something new that we started and the hindrances are many. Its a new product and the market isn't that exposed to it. We have to practically share what we are selling with buyers to taste before they can comprehend how awesome the product is.
Today we went out once again to sell some flakes and it was awesome yet tiring. We walked for 4km to town in hopes of people seeing the product and buying some. Many bought some coconut flakes as we walked by them. We sent out 75 pieces of coconut and we sold about 35 bottles. On the road, we shared some of the bottles with shops that we are hoping to serve as retailers. By the way, is it a good deal to give a product out to a retailer at 20%discount on cost price?
I was astonished when I heard the compensation rate and price for retailing our product. We thought 10% discount retail was great and enough but we were disappointed by the rate we had. One cannot make coconut flakes without the coconut fruit itself so we crowned the day by getting some fresh dry coconut to produce more. I hope tomorrow holds a better day for the product. We can all do something if we put ourselves to the task. I am not learning anything related to food but trying to sell food products. The blockchain has a lot of potentials as well and it won't come to you by chance.
