The Best Movies of the last week

a Themovieplace Recommendation for the Steemit Community

Hello dear friends and steemians, I've been thinking about the past few days to come up with something new and something I hope you will like and also will help you to find some good movies to see if you don't know what to look for.
I thought to reveal the best movies which I see every week and by doing this, I hope I can help how much I can, and through this also I want to promote some great movies which are not known to the general public and are artistic films which though they will not be loved by all, it will change a little the point of view of those who see it and I hope more and more will see the artistic side of a movie not just something that entertain you, which still plays an important role but not just that is important when you see a movie and also the fact that you are interested to find out what the director wants to convey, but I don't want to force anyone to have the same opinion with me about a movie or suddenly change his mind, but I want to give him time to think and to find alone the importance of that film not just to rate a movie patchily as the majority does, and those who offer the ratings I have seen that they often offer them based on some silly reasons like: they did not understand the movie, they rate the movies after their political or religious thought or other reasons.
I had some experiences too and one of them is the movie The Big Lebowski (1998) made my the Coen Brothers which after seeing it for the first time I was thinking why the hell this movie is in the Top 250 movies on imdb.com and after reviewing it I realized that there were things I did not notice at the first view and at each view I find some new stuff and that demonstrates that we all have to learn and find out actually about what the movie is, and you nead to rewatch several times some movies to find out this.
I will begin to enumerate the movies that I liked from last week and I want to tell you that are movies of different years not necessarily new ones and I will post them in the order in which I saw them from the beginning of the week to the end, and I hope you find something interesting that you have not seen yet.

The List

1. Our Souls at Night (2017) - rating 8/10

Our-Souls-At-Night-2017.jpg

We have been accustomed for a while to see great TV Shows from Netflix, and recently they start to make pretty good movies too and the movie Our Souls at Night (2017) is one of them, and made me curious to see the story of two old people which at first I thought it would bore me but it was not like that, and the actors Jane Fonda and Robert Redford they surprised me how good they played and I liked how natural everything seemed to be, and I admit that i didn't like very much the actor Robert Redford but I have not seen too many movies in which he played and I can not draw a conclusion now and to say that he is an overrated actor and after watching this movie I realized that I judged him wrong and for those who did not see the movie, I recommend them although it's a slower movie is a nice one and surely will be on my best 2017 movie list.

2. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) - rating 8/10

I saw this movie after I saw the movie Our Souls at Night (2017) about which I told you above and it was perfect after seeing that romantic drama , this action, adventure, sci-fi movie with some funny phases it was exactly what I needed and I can compare it a bit with the movie Deadpool (2016) who had the same kind of humor and is among the most important reasons why I liked it, and with Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) I felt something like that and Tom Holland the new
Peter Parker it was a good choice In my opinion despite the fact that many criticize it, and if you want to see a great entertainment this movie is for you.

3. Westworld (1973) - rating 8/10

This movie inspired those who did the TV Show Westworld (2016) and how I'm a follower of this tv show I decided to see this movie despite having enough negative reviews but also enough negative ones too and considering that the duration of the movie is just 1hour and 28 min I gave him a chance and I don't regret doing that.
The movie starts fairly well and on the way there will be some weaker parts too but the end is epic and is worthy to be included in the list of the best Sci-Fi movies from what I've seen and I will certainly include it in the Part 2.

4. Blade Runner 2049 (2017) - rating 9/10

blade-runner-thumbnail.jpg

Is the movie I liked the most from 2017 and I have to rewatch it at least once to decide if I give him the grade 10 or will remain 9 , and Denis Villeneuve it surprised me with this movie which I consider one of his best works, if not the best.
I also recommended this movie a week ago in the Daily Movie Recommendation where I described it more detailed and I will say again that the soundtrack is one of the best things in the movie and if you have enough patience you will enjoy this movie, and if not just ignored it because there are great chances to disappoint you and if you have not seen the first Blade Runner (1982) I recommend you to see it and then move on to the new one and this is the example of the film which are artistic and they are not for everyone.

5. You Can't Take It with You (1938) - rating 9/10

600x600bb.jpg

From time to time I decide to watch very old movies like this one and I find out how interesting these movies are even if they are around 80 years or more succeed almost every time to satisfy me especially with the genres comedy, drama, romance like this one and you realize that you have not seen such a movie with enchanting actors , great story and some life lessons which you don't really see in today's movies and Frank Capra demonstrated again why he is one of the best directors who lived, and also I recommend from him the movies It's a Wonderful Life (1946) and It Happened One Night (1934) which I have seen and there are a few more that I have to see.

I love James Stewart but I haven't seen "You Can't Take It With You" yet.

I loved him in It's a Wonderful Life, The Shop Around the Corner, and Vertigo.

If you haven't seen some of those, you should try to check them out. Thank you for sharing your reviews. Now I have something to watch :)

I didn't see Vertigo but I want to see it in the near future. You're welcome @yieesh and thanks for your recommendations.

You wrote so little about Blade Runner... I haven't seen it yet, but I loved the first one.

I wrote more in my last Daily Movie Recommendation and I don't think it was necessary to repeat what I wrote before.

Checking it out.
